Andrés Gómez Emilsson made this as a draft PDP, aiming to replicate the grid snapping into symmetry on 5-MeO-DMT. It needs more work.
Each line segment is a phase oscillator, held at its place in the original grid by an anchoring term (λ) and coupled to the segments next to it. Dose sets the coupling strength K. A feedback term (γ) strengthens the coupling as the whole grid synchronises, which is what makes the final snap sudden: dθᵢ = a(K)ωᵢ + λ sin(φᵢ−θᵢ) + K(1 + γR²)[(1−m) rᵢ sin(ψᵢ−θᵢ) + m R sin(Ψ−θᵢ)] + a(K)·noise, with a(K) = min(1, K).
The stimulus is the grid from the task: 14 × 14 cells, each segment shifted sideways by a random offset. A segment’s offset shrinks as it locks with its neighbours, so at zero dose the grid matches the stimulus exactly.
