A 3D Gallery of Phenomenological Textures I Experienced
Based on notes from my jhāna meditation and 5-MeO-DMT sessions at the QRI Retreat 2026, I mapped a selection of the textures I experienced along three axes: valence (how positive or negative they felt), arousal (how intense/activated or still they felt), and dissolution (how solid or boundless they felt).
The interactive piece below lets you explore these textures in a 3D space. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom, and click any image to read its full description. (If you experience any issues with the navigation controls, refreshing the page will usually restore normal functionality.) Best viewed on a computer screen.
If the interactive map does not load, view it directly here.
The descriptions are based on my notes. The images were created with ChatGPT Images between June and September 2026 through an iterative process based on my descriptions and feedback.
